Our Little Pup

We have a pup Name Cookie she is my other Child. We treat her like a human well let's say at least I do most of the time. She get's a bath just like we do and she sleep's with Joe Joe at night and when he leaves for work she come's and get's in the bed with me. Whic this is something I use to would not do. Because I alway's said a pet had to sleep outside or in the floor not on my bed. But since I don't have anymore little one's at home she has too there place in my bed. Sometimes she does not won't to let Kent get in the bed he has to pick her up and put her out of the bed himself. Cookie does not like bad weather are to be left home alone. She has been outside when the weather has been bad and I wish you could see my back door where she has did a number on the door. That is by chewing on the door and the wall down stairs where we leave her when we go off. It is not a pretty site either. Nothing stop's her from chewing on the door's not even hot sauce. But now all I have to do most of the time is use a mean voice and tell her I am going to use the fly swatter and most of the time that work's. Cookie will start hanging her head and give me that sad look. But there is some good things I have done with her that is I have taught her how to pray,sit,shake,and when we are eating she gives us tow paw's when she want's something to eat from the table. When one won't feed her she goes to the other and she will do them the same way. Cookie loves a belly rub and a good head rub. When Kent come in from work she get's in his chair with him like Alissa does when she is over at the house. When Alissa is over one get's on oneside and the other get's on the other side. She know's if I get the fly swater I mean business and she does not give me a problem. She get's no petty from me when she is bad. She is a real good guard dog also she will not let just anyone in the house. Well at least she put's on a good show and that is what count's to me she let's someone know she is in the house. You are not going to get in that door easy. Well I could go on and on but I did need to get something done. Have a nice day and May God Bless All.

My Week So Far

Well my week started of with a bang. First Sunday I had to go to the ER and get a shot for my headache which I had for the past three day's off and on. The longer I sat in church the worse it got. So we just went to the ER instead of going home. I got the shot and came home and went to bed and it finally went away I thought. Then Monday I had to go get that block in my back and it came back. This time they put it in the spot that was hurting on the left. They took me to the OR and did it their. After they got through my headache came back because I had nothing to eat since 9:30 Sunday night. So I ended up with three shot's and it started going away then. So yesterday and today I have done little of nothing which is what you are suppose to do after you have a block done. I hope this help's me because if it don't I do not want surgery that is the last thing I will let them do. Well my brother has been sick also with some kind of virus this week and he has not been a happy camper at all. My Dad has been in day care so that has help out alot that she has not had to deal with him to. Well Joe is at work today for his 24hr shift today so no one is at home but me and the cookie monster. Well I am waiting on the game Sat. I hope Alabama win's it would be nice to start off with a win in our pocket and it would make thing's easy for the Nick Sabin Era. Well my Hubby has got on the blog thing now it is about time. I have been trying to ge him to do it for a long time now. So we have another guy on here to talk to and get good wisdom from MayBe! Thursday,Friday,Saturday

I had a busy Thursday I helped my Mom out at her house while Dad was at Day Care. We got alot done with him at Day Care. Mom was able to help and not have to stop every time she got started. She cleaned here bathroom and did the rest of the house. I had rather help someone in there house then clean my own. My brother love's for me to come and clean he help's which he like's to do. He is so funny they have new people that have moved next door to them and he like's to watch them out the window and tell's every move that they make. It is so funny because he love's to see the dog come out of the house and he waves at them all the time. I was so tired by the time I got home I did not want to cook so we hot dog's for supper. Well the next day I got Joe to take Dad to the Day Care and I sleep in a little later. Which was nice and then I got up and started to work in my house cleaning up which it needed I had not cleaned in a week. Because we were out of town last week. When I am cleaning or I don't have to clean I can just walk around and I sweat like and old pig and I just can not stand all the sweat. My Mom said get use to it you got along time to go. But it is still hard to get use to. Then we had some rain and thunder and lighting to move in and that was nice we needed the rain. I went and got Alissa from school because I had not seen her in two week's. This is the longest I had not seen her sometime. After I got her from school I took her to see her Granny,Uncle Dwight and Grandmother. Then we came home and went out to eat with my sister,brother and my parent' that was nice we all had a good time. Saturday I got up and finished cleaning my house. I am cooking supper for Ben his favorite cass. Joe has a date tonight and I am happy for that. Well he got a shower came out in a towel which is not a first time I told him one day the towel is going to hit the floor. I forgot Joe was driving the fire truck bye my Mom's house and my brother loved that it made him laugh he likes to see Joe drive the fire truck. Well see everyone Sunday.

My Tuesday and Wed.

Yesterday was one more day it started off with a bang I had to go to my Mom's house Dad got up in a bad mood. Mom called me and told me that he had hit her and that he wanted to fight and he told her to stand up and be a man. So I went up there to help her out and clean up ing the house. I went in the house and he ask her when I walk in the house why did you call her up here. I told him that I just wanted to come up here and see if he was being nice and he said I am the big bear and you are the little bear. I said I maybe little beart but if you want to be the big mean bear all I have to do is call 911 and we will see who is the mean bear. So I ended up calling the Dr. and we had to take him in. So the Dr told him to start being good are he was going to have to put him somewhere he would not want to go. He said well I still want to fight and he told the Dr. I will fight you. Then the Dr. said get him a punching bag and let him hit it so I am going to try and find him one. Then we started home and got in the car it would not start it was 102 outside but it felt hotter. I then called Kent and he came and got us in the Van and my brother loved that. He like's to ride in my van he had a monkey with him and it made a noise and he put it up where Kent could hear it. He thought that was funny. We made it home and we went back and got the car and brought it home. Kent found out what was wrong with the car and order the part for it. He is going to fix it for Mom and save her alittle money. Well today I had to go and get the part for the car and Dad's medicine for Mom. To keep them from getting out in the heat it was a 103 outside and it felt every bit of it. Then I went to walmart it was even hot in walmart I had to pick up some thing's. Of course I seen something with Alissa favorite person on it which is Hannnah Montanna. I am so bad when it comes to things that she like's. But I do Joseph the same way anything to do with EMT or Fire Dept. I can never just go to walmart and get just what I went in to get. But I think this is true with everyone. Well I guess this is enough for these tow day's. I need to get bus and tke the medicine up the street and finish washing clothes.

8-20-07 After Trip

Well we had a great trip we left Thursday about 11:00 and got to a place called LaPlace New Orlean's. This is where the hospital was that Kent was going to work at on Friday. I seen so much water I did not want to see anymore for a long time. No wonder there was so much water everywhere when the storm went through almost 3 year's ago. We got up at 7:00 and ate breakfast and went into work at 8:00 and left before 11:00 this was a small hospital one level only. We went from their to New Orlean's and stayed in the French Quarter and went looking around. The street's are all one way and not very wide at all people live everywhere. There is alot of street people both men and women. All the shop's were neat in there on way. We ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp place one day and it was good. It had a lot from the show. That night the movie Forest Grump was on TV. I thought that was kinda funny that is was on while we were their. The next day we did some more walking and look at some malls that were on the main street and we seen the Oharrh which was a casion. We seen a couple of those in New Orlean's but not many. Then we went on River Boat ride and that was fun. The captain was telling about different thing's as we went down the river. There was still thing's that was not fixed up form the storm yet. After the River Boat ride we went to The Riverwalk Mall that was neat it was right by the water and a big bridge. But there was Birdge's everywhere you looked becaused that was the only way you could get from New Orlean's to Lousiniana. Also I learned that they are not that far above sea leave so they have to bury people above ground. Then Sunday on the way home we went throught St Bearned Parrish and the 9th Ward they were hit the hardest from the storm and thing's were going up with weed's people still living in trailer's. I know after seeing all of this it make's me happy that I live where I live. Oh there was one little thing we had to do for Joseph we had to bring him a Tshirt from the fire station in New Orleans we had to go by the station 4 time's before we got a shirt. They also keep there street's very clean to. They have horse and buggy ride's so I guess that why they have to clean the street's everyday. Well enough said hubby will be home soon and I don't need to chatter any more.

Today is 8-14-07

Well today sarted off with having to get Dad to Day Care. My idea of day care is different it is about little kid's. Not older people , but where my Dad goes there is a day care across the street that is for little kid's. When it is not to hot they sit outside and watch the little kid's. But when you are dealing with these kid of old people they had rather be with little kid's. My Dad came in from day care Monday and he said I am not going back because there was some ladies out there that were not nice to him. He said they make fun of me because I am special to the ladies husband that own's the place. Well this is just like little kid's coming home and saying thing's like this to Mom and Dad about someone in their class. But than some day's it is different they love to go and get icecream from Sonic it make's their day. They have a little poodle out their and it is a lot of fun to them he love's to see just about anyone come in the door at the day care. They have a singing on the first Wed. in every month and they all enjoy that so much because it is old time music and that is what they like is thing's from there past. Well after all that I had to go and get Alissa from school she got sick. I think it was just the hot heat, I gave her liquid's all day and she got to felling better later in the day. Well Wed. I will be packing for Kent and our trip to New Orleans and I can not wait. This will be a first for both of us we have never been their so I can not wait. We will be staying around the French Quarter area so I think that will be neat. Well everyone take care and I will see everyone Wed. night if everything goes well.

Today is 8-13-07

I went to the Dr today with my back and I am not happy with what I heard. The Dr did Xray's and then he told me that in two week's they were going to do another block. But I have never had one done like this. I have another disk right where I had sugery before on that is not right. They are going to try this block and see if it work's. It will be put stright into the side of my back that is hurting me. If this does not work they will try something else before they do surgery again. I feel like I am falling apart and I am not that old. But thing's could be worse for me. I could have my Dad at home all the time driving nut's so this is better than him. Bless his heart it is so sad to see my Dad the way he is. It break's my heart because I know he can not help it. I just wish thing's were different all the way around. My family is still not together on any of this my oldest sister does not even come around. My youngest sister help's sometimes but not often. She cause alot of problems sometimes and that does not help my Mom. But one day they will wake up and it will be to late. My Dad will not know them and they have no one to blame but there on self. My nices and there kid's don't come either. Well that is enough for today I could just go on and on. Well everyone take care and Mya God Bless all.

Sunday 8-12-07

We went to church and had a very good lesson this morning. David is a great preacher and he can be funny sometime when he preaching. But that is just the way he is but we would have him no other way. We all as memeber's think he is a great person and preacher. Well after church we all went to eat mexican for lunch and that was nice. I talk to the younger people that was with us I don't get to do that often it is different to talk with them sometimes. I never had the chance like my kid's did to hang with my age group from church. I always had to go home with my parent's. I think it is important for kid's to hang out with kid's that go to church and not with someone that is not a christian. Because it can make it hard down the road if you fall in love with a non christian. Well we stop on the way home and check on the dog's at Ben and Rachel's to make sure they had water and they did of course. Well they will be home today I hope they had a great trip to the beach. April and them got home last night from the wedding about 11:30 she said it was a long wedding. They took picture's at four o'clock and they even took picture's of there dog's I tought that was funny I have heard of everything now. Well next week Kent and I are going on a litttle trip to Baton Rouge,Louisiana for a couple of day's. He will be working and I am going along to just hang out and check thing's out while he work's. I have the easy part and he has the hard part. It's that the way it is suppose to be the men work and the women play. That is the way I think it should be. My Day 8-11-07

Well it was busy from the time I got up this morning. Washing and cleaning and all that stuff you have to do as a wife. Well I belive it is about 106 outside but he got outside before it got to hot. Then I have never seen it so hot as it has been here the past couple of week's. Well Joe is at work doing his EMT thing. Ben and Rachel are on the beach where it is just as hot there as is here. April and Jason are gone to a wedding and we have the little girl of course. But that is ok we don't see much of her since school stared I know that has only been two day's it seem like for ever. Well I have another disk problem I don't know how bad yet I will find out next week what they are going to do. Thing's are going well with my Dad these day's he goes to Day Care and that help's out alot. Everything is much better when he is at Day Care. I get more done and so does my Mom. Well I guess I better go fix supper before I get fired as the cook around here. I hope every find's out that I have a blog now so I can keep up with thing's better on here than myspace. I love to talk and have fun that is me if you don't know that by now you will soon learn that.

A little bit about me.(Phyllis Garrison)

I am 52 years old I live in Minor and been married 33 year's. I go to Sylvan Spring's Church of Christ. My husband name is Kent Garrison and he is an elder in the church. We have three kid's and one grandchild. My oldest son is Ben, daughter April, son Joseph and grand-daughter Alissa who is eight. I have a son-in-law Jason and a Daughter-in-law Rachel I love these two very much. My family mean's alot to me and so does my church family. I would not know what to do with out my family and my church family. Well enough said about myself for I could go on and on. Oh I can'not forget I have a dog name cookie.
