I Never New That So Many Could Get Sick At Once

I never new what it would be like when several people you love would get sick at the sametime. The first person was my Sister Robin first she had a stroke and then we found she had Brain Cancer and who have thought that would happen to her. But today she got finished with the raditation treatment. She goes back in March and get's the MRI done and she get's to find out how well things are. She told me today that she was cancer free and I hope and pray that she is. Then after Robin here come poor Grandmother she has been in and out of the hospital for severl months now and when she get's out she will be going in a nursing home and this is going to hard but she needs the 24 hour seven days help and also needs PT. Then there is my brother he had a tube put down in mouth yesterday and that was hard on everyone. He does not under stand anything that is going on. Today he wanted some water and he could not have any at all and know his mouth was dry. But a nurse came in the room and gave him some water and the Dr said no water until the tube came out. So when the Dr came around to check the tube I ask him again if he could have water and he said no. So after he left I told Mom that a RN came in the room and she gave him some water and she said I will tell her not to do that again. But Thursday he will get the tub out of his mouth and he will be happy and then he can have all the water he want's. Yesterday Dad was in the room all day long and Dwight was not happy at all and when Patsy came in the door he told her he was putting her in the dog house. But he never got mad at me I told him that sis would take care of him. Today I stayed for awhile so Mom could come home and take a bath and check on things at home. I have to go back on Friday and stay again because she has to go and get some meds at Walgreen. Dad went to Day Care today and he will go again on Friday. He has been staying the night at Melissa and coming to my house in the morning and Kent is taking him to day care. It is hard when I am the only one that does not work. On Sunday Patsy was going to come up but she had to go to church first but Mom had alot to do so I went on up. Patsy called later and said what are you doing up at there I told her that Mom had alot to do so I came on up she said well I am not coming. But she came on up later and said you need to go eat but Dwight was not happy with her so I did not leave him to long. Angie my sister daughter came to see him for the first time in a long time. Then today Michelle called and check on him the first in awhile to. Well take care and May God Bless

When it Rain's It Pour's and your Plate is Full

You know that old saying when rain's it pour's well it has done that around here. For myself I am feeling as good as I am going to get, I still have the pain in my leg's and still feel tired sometimes but not as much as I did. Well on Friday as you most know they put my brother in the hospital because he had dehydrated because he had not be able to keep any food down at all. When he get's sick they can not take any chance's with him. So the Dr went ahead and put him in the hospital. He is in room 5109 at Princeton so that is where I was at Sunday. I went up to let my Mom come home and do some thing's and get a bath and take a break. My Mom has alot on her with my brother and Dad I do what I have to in order to help out. Today my Dad has a Dr appt. and my Mom has 2 so I will be back up at the hospital today. So I will be busy this week helping her out and help my sister take care of my Dad. He stay's all night with her and comes to my house when she goes to work the rest of the week he will be in Day Care thank goodness for Day Care. If we did not have Day Care we would be in trouble. My Dad came down at six oclock this morning and I am not use to getting up at six. I went back to bed for awhile because my leg's were hurting now I look at my Dad and he is setting in Kent's chair and he is sleeping. But that is the way it goes with what he has. My older sister came up to the hospital and brought Mom some thing's to eat and drink, but last week when Mom was sick she knew about it but she did not call and check on her. She does not care that much about her Mom she is just trying to buy her way back in to Mom's life and that is not working she will never say she is sorry. Well enough of my old soap box. Kent's Mom is still in the hospital I went to see her yesterday while I was up there and she was still not doing well. She still has alot of swelling in her right arm and she will not eat anyting or drink. She just eat's ice and that is about it she still has an IV in her arm I just wish she would get better so she could come out of the hospital. We had Alissa Friday night we worked on her poster for Conv. she is so ready to go like always. This year she will be able to win an award I just want her to do well. I am ready to go myself I love going and watching the kid's do their speeches and bible reading and song. I have to ask a question Joe is always coming up's with something new to call his self since her work's night's and can not sleep sometime at night he call's his self a night cawler and just think that is so funny. Well I have said enough for now sometime's I feel like it is hard for me to stop,but I will. One more thing Robin has 3 more treatments to go and they will stop and in Feburay she will have a scan and see how thing' are and if they are not better they will do treament's for 5 day's a week so keep us in your prayer's during all of this that is going on in our family. My week so Far

This week started of fast I had to go up to my Mom's house first off. My Dad called my house and told me you are going to have to come and check on you Mom. I said what is going on he said your Mom is sick and she want's you to come and check on her and feed your brother. So I made up my bed and left my house. I got to Mom and Dad house my brother was still in the bed and my Mom and Dad had been since 4:00 am. She had been sick that long,I ask her what was wrong she said I have been sick at my stomach,cold,hot,she had trouble breating and she was hurting bad. So I tryed to get her let me call you PC and check with him but she would not let me. So I called Joe and got him to check her blood pressure,and oxygen level. He said it was low and her speech was slured. Well I feed by brother and Dad gave everyone there med's. Then I ask her again if I could call the Dr and she told me no again she said I will be alright. Well I had to leave Mom's house and go get Robin and take her for Radation Treament but I did not want to leave. Knowing Mom was sick,but I did I worried the whole time I was gone. I got Joe to check on them while I was gone I new if someting went wrong he would know what to do. After Robin's treatment we started to her house and my van broke down on us it got to hot again. I had to call Kent and get him to bring some water and out it in my van and he drove it home for me. I took Robin on home in that good old red truck. Then when I got home we ate supper and my sister Melissa called we had to take Mom to the ER we were over at the ER until about 12:50 we got home at 1:30 so we are very tired. Today has been a slow day for me but that is ok I needed one aftter yesterday. Well toady Grandmother got to go into a froom so that is good but she is still not doing awhole lot better.In the ER last night we had about 4 little black girls with the phone's,radio's,and that they were saying ugly word's also I should have went and told the security guard that they were just to noisey and I think he would pu them out are told them stop one. But yoy just now know sometimrs what to say.

Well this is a Little this and a Little of That

Well Thursday was a busy day for me I went to the Dollar General and pick up s few thing's by my self which was great to get away from the phone and other thing's. After the Dollar General I went to Walmart and they were not to busy so I got what I needed there. Then I went did my little shot thing that I have to do once a month. I went to see Grandmother and she is swollen real bad and she was still having trouble breathing. I would love to see her get better and come out of the hospital,she is also talking out of her head some what. I went up with Becky on Friday and she told us that a baby was between her leg's and that was so funny and she kept talking about some little girl's working out in the field all day long. Then on Friday they put her on the step down unit to see how she would do and Kent went up yesterday to see her and she had ruff night. I hope today when we go see her thing's have changed. Well we got us a lap top on Thursday and I love it we got a wirless router so we can use it all over the and house and I love it. It will be good for Joe to use for school work and that is good so if I am on the computer he has something else to use. Joe went out on a date last night with a girl name Amy they went to eat and a movie. Well I sure did enjoy what little bit of snow we got it was so pretty but I forgot to take picture's. I called and talk with Alissa and Emily had been out in it since nine oclock playing in the snow rolling down the hill and anything else they could do in the snow. Kent gave cookie a bath last night we got her a better brand of shampoo and she smell's so good now. For supper last night Kent and I had steak,bake, potatoe and I had some carrott's. I am trying so hard to stick to my diet I have lost six pound's so far and I want to lose some more I also started doing some excrise along with my diet. Well I had better close Kent will be here soon to pick me up for Church.

My Trip Monday with Robin and Me Dr on Tuesday

Well Monday went better then what I thought it would. My Dad went with me to Robin 's house on Monday and that work out well. I t kept me from going byself that is such a long trip up and back. The getting over there is what took the longest,once she got her blood work done then they got her back for her treatment. I say that took only about 30 minutes if it was that long,after the treatment the Dr came in and ask her how she was feeling and if anything was going that she needed to know. Robin told her everything was fine and she was going to beat this thing. I want that to happen so bad for her and my family. Well yesterday day I went to the Dr and Blood pressure is all out of wack. I feel tired alot more than I usually do ,I think it is all thing's that is going on around me thses day's. When I got home and told Joe what was going on the said Mom you are going to have to take care of yourself are you going to have a stroke and will not be good for you are anyone. He said Mom if you don't take care of youself you can not take care of other people. I told him I was trying to do the right thing's for myself I am trying to lose weight and watch what I eat as well. So I am taking Med for Blood pressure and aslo it is a water pill also. Well today Robin called me wanted to take with me and Kent about her boy's if something happened to her or Bill she want's them to be part of my family if they need anything ar whatever. I hope nothing happen's to either of them because I want them both around for a long time. Robing know's she want be here to seee Chace complete school she will be here to see Trey. It is so sad when you have to think about thing's like this because you just don't won't to think about your sister leaving you. Well today Kent's Mom is still in MICU they had to call in a Kidney Dr and go up on one of her med's and also they gave her something for pain. I keep thinking everyday that when I talk to Kent he is going to say she is doing better. Kent said that John and Vi Brown came by and seen her today. Have you Ever Been put On a Guilt Trip?

Have you ever had someone to make you feel like you have done nothing for them? Well over the weekend I had my sister Robin to make me feel that bad. She told me I needed to take her for a treatment because I was the only one that had not taken her. I know she needs family but this is not the way to do thing's. I know she is going through ruff time's but I do not like it when people try to make me feel like I have done nothing. She has forgotten all the time I spent at the hospital with her and the time's I have been to her house and done thing's for her. It is not the fact that I don't want to it is the long drive and doing it by my self . She lives past the Blount county line and it take's me awhile to get there. It has been busy around here with Kent's Mom and my parent's to she just does not know what all I have to do everyday sometime's. This is a busy week for me their is not a day this week that I will not be doing something. I have a Dr's appt. Tuesday and Dad blood work on Wed. Thursday,Friday take Dad to Day Care and go off with Mom and do thing's. So it is very hard on me but I try to take one day at a time. Sunday was a bad day for me I was having one of those day's where it did not take much to upset me. Anything made me cry Sunday because the way I was feeling. Saturday we gave Robin a birthday party my sister Pasty got all of this together she just wanted to be for family only. So it was my family,Mom and them,Bill and Robin,Trey,Chase was at a friend's house. But Patsy would not let Melissa bring her boyfriend he wanted to meet everyone but she told her no. But you know the sad thing of it all her girl's and grand kid's were not even at the party. When they said they were not part of the family anymore they are not. But it is so sad because that is what hurts the most is when family does not want to be family any more. Well to get on another subject Grandmother is still in MICU at Princeton doing some better today but she still has a long way to do. Well take care and May God Bless Keep us all in you Prayer's.

Today Has been Ruff

Today has been a ruff day first I did not feel good when Kent left to go to work the old leg's were not doing well. Then Kent called and said they were taking Grandmother to the ER again and were going to have to keep her. She was having problem breathing and had fluid on her lung's and around her heart. So I was over at the hospital until around 1:00 and then I came home because my leg's were hurting s bad I could not stand up are hardly drive home I was hurting so bad. We went back up to see Grandmother at 8:00 and she was still hurting and having trouble breathing . They are going to put her in a room on Friday so she can have more family to come in and see her that way. She will not be coming home she will go to a nursing because she needs 24 hour care 7 day's a week. I think she will be going to the one in Hueytown Becky has ask around and that is one alot of people has told her about and how good it was and how they gave Physical Therapy. I will Miss her being across the street so I could just check on her anytime that I had to spare for her. Although it is hard with everything that I have to do with my parent's so time I find myself getting on a guilt trip because I was not able to help anymore then I did. Well on another subject before I get to crying about that. We went down to the bldg. due to the bad weather and we found David,Susan,Katie,Hannah, down at the bldg. when we got there. That little Hannah was something else she is a little show off and she is so funny. She seen I had a drink and she called it a cup which is was a Diet Dr. Pepper in a bottle . She wanted a drink and I gave her some of it and she kept on drinking the Diet Dr. Pepper it was just to funny. So Katie got her cup and put some coke in her cup,but she still drank out of my bottle and still called it a cup. She is somemore little girl and she is cute as pie. Well time to go to bed and sleep for awhile if I can . May God Bless keep us in your prayer's. Robin is still doing ok with her radation and chem but she is starting to stay tired all the time now we are giving her a suprise B-Day party Sat. she will be 45. So still keep her in you prayer's also.

What is going on in the House today. 1-5

Today is not to busy for me I am not feeling well today my leg's and back are hurting me today and Tuesday I am getting a block in my back I am hopeing this will help with the hurting alot. Kent is working in Joe shower he is having problem's with getting the water to work right in the shower. The problem turned out to be more trouble then he wanted it to he is having to replace the whole shower head. Well Joe is trying to sleep through all of this he had to work last night and did not get home until 8:00 this morning. Cookie is going nut's trying to figure out what is going on since Alissa went to Nannie's on Thursday. She does not like for her to leave at all cookie loves to play with her and sleep with her at night. Yesterday I had to make sure Dad took a bath he had not took a bath in 8 day's yes eight day's he was getting ripe as they say. He had a beard to go along with the dirty body. Well we made it through all of that which took awhile and then I went and got my brother's medicine because Mom has no car it is in the shop. Then I went to the Dollar General and Walmart and did my thing shopping by myself which is not often anymore through the day. Well on Monday I get to go with Mom to take Dad to see the Dr at 3:00 that is always a task in it self. Robin called and said she talk to Melissa and she told her about a friend that she work's with that had a sister with the same type of cancer she has and has been cancer free for 4 year's. So this has put her on a great high and I am happy for her they will do an MRI when she is through with the radaition and Chemo and that will tell us alot then. Grandmother is going to come home on Monday Kent said that is what the Dr. is saying now I hope so for her sake. She has been in the hospital long enough and we are ready for her to come home if she is able. So keep her and my sister in you prayer's. May God Bless

When I Got Home

Kent had all the Christmas light's down and that was nice and he had even cleaned the hardwood floor's. That was very good that all of that was done for me he is a great Husband and I love him very much. I was so tired when I got home that I went to sleep on the couch he tried to wake me for church but I just could not get up. Monday I got up at 9:30 and did as little as possible. Then my Mom called and ask me to go with them to Hills and the bank I did not want to but I did just to help her out. But when I got home I did not want to cook so my very sweet hubby did the cooking. We spent New Year's at home and watch football game's and seen the big ball drop in New York. Then we went to sleep and slept late New Year's day and stayed around the house until about 3:30 then we went to see Grandmother. She is doing better but she just want's to sleep alot. She is still not moving around that much when she get's home I hope all of this change's. After seeing Grandmother we went to April and them house we had some chile and then Jason and Kent worked on Alissa closet putting in some shelves. I watched the Sugar Bowl while April and Alissa went through he clothes I got out what she could not wear anymore. April and Jason got a lap top computer for Christmas and I played with it which I would love to have some day. I would just sit and write all day and watch TV and get nothing else done.
